WHY PROMOTE YOUR WORK THROUGH US?

We are not only a gallery but also are artists. We understand what it is like to try to sell your work and have no support. We want to offer our experience to help Canadian artists and art lovers with either purchasing or selling beautiful works of art.

Our goal is to market you and your art, handle your transactions.   Marketing art is expensive and by working with us you benefit from the exposure, our marketing and broaden your network.

You may ask why can't we just upload the work ourselves and see what happens?  The reasoning behind this is we review all art and have 5 committee members approve it. We are looking creative quality art work. We welcome all levels of artistic work. If you are an emerging artist to a seasoned artist we do not judge. We look at quality rather than the years spent being a professional artist. There are many online sites that don't do that and many times the artist doesn't sell their work.  We are actively promoting your works and building your reputation as an artist.

Shipping Guidelines

Packing for Shipping

Wrapping your Work

Bubble wrap

An adequate and correct use of bubble wrap provides protection of your work by distributing pressure and impact within your shipping container . It cushions the art in the event of impact and fills up empty space, preventing movement and accompanying potential damage from occurring within your packaging. Do not use second hand fillers such as newspapers, plastic bags, Styrofoam peanuts, non-archival quality tissue paper, or any other filler as any materials used for packaging and transportation should be of Archival quality, free of impurities (IE: Newsprint, Grease, PH-imbalances) and not prone to settling during transport.

Acid-Free Archival Paper

Acid-Free Archival Paper, also referred to as Glassine, provides a crucial material for wrapping and shipping your work. Glassine is virtually PH neutral and therefore will produce no chemical reaction with the piece. Glassine is readily available in most Artist Supply venues and we strongly recommend that you use it for both shipping and storage of your works.

Boxes, Cardboard Tubes, Corner Protectors, and other Assorted Essentials

Although sometimes boxes appropriate to your work(s) may be difficult to find, many higher quality Art Supply stores should be able to recommend a source if they don’t stock shipping materials. As well, upper end moving or storage firms often sell boxes specific to the dimensions of particular pieces. As well, most Artist Supply stores will stock depth specific cardboard Corner Protectors which are crucial in order to protect your work during shipping. Should you be unable to find Corner Protectors, a quick search of the Web should provide instructions on manufacturing your own. Foam Board, (Foamcore), is also readily available at most Artist Supply stores which should be used in packaging flat pieces. It is recommended that you use 1/2” or better thickness and Archival Quality if available. All packages should be thoroughly sealed with Premium Quality Packaging Tape as to prevent both moisture getting into your packaging, and to effectively negate the possibility of the tape peeling, cracking, or not adhering to your package.

Cardboard Tubes are the preferred method for shipping unmounted works preferably using two tubes, one inside the other;  However, please note that additional charges could be incurred if it falls upon STUDIO C AT THE JUNCTION to mount and/or frame the work for presentation.

By following these instructions and procedures you will minimize any potential damage to your work and present a professional image to your patron.
